Beautiful Blue & Green Spring Home Tour

Spring has arrived, and I am throwing open the door to share some cozy corners of my home! Fresh blooms, fresh air, and the best excuse to redecorate. The house is finally feeling like it’s waking up from the winter hibernation. This week, I have joined some incredible bloggers, and together we are bringing you a full dose of spring inspiration on Monday and Friday. Come on in!

Welcome, sweet friend! Pull up a chair and stay a while. I am so glad you stopped by today. Spring has finally settled in around here, and I have been having the best time freshening things up with soft blues, gentle greens, and a few of my favorite farmhouse touches. Nothing fussy, nothing over the top. It’s just simple, seasonal changes that make the whole house feel a little lighter and a little more alive.

I am opening up the doors and taking you through a little spring home tour. We will wander through the living room, family room, kitchen, dining area, and mudroom. I hope it sparks inspiration for your own home this season!

This year, I found myself leaning into a palette that feels calm, cool, and incredibly lush. My colors focused on soft blues and gentle greens, and a few unexpected pops of purple to mirror the colors of a garden just beginning to bloom outside. And, the color purple is the perfect accent color with blue and green.

The Living Room

The living room got the most understated refresh of all. Sometimes those are my favorite kind of refreshers. I simply swapped in a fresh set of blue, white, and green toss pillows to usher in the new season. Clean, crisp, and just right.

The star of the living room this spring is a beautiful vase of faux white lilacs that I moved from my home office to the coffee table. It’s such a simple move, but it completely transformed the space. The soft white blooms are stunning against the blue and green tones, and they remind me of the lilac bushes outside that I absolutely adore. Sometimes shopping in your own home is the very best kind of decorating!

Step Into The Family Room

The family room is where we live, laugh, and unwind, so it was the first place I wanted to give a little spring love. I kept the changes simple and layered with a few new pillows, some greenery, and a refreshed mantel, which are really all it takes to change the whole feel of a room.

I swapped in an assortment of blue-and-white striped pillows alongside blue-and-green block-print pillows on the sofa. A few sweet little rabbits are sprinkled throughout the room. I just love how they add a quiet nod to the season without feeling overly themed.

The fireplace mantel is one of my favorite spots in the room. This spring, I hung a sandpiper print in a gold frame above it — the coastal feel pairs so beautifully with the blue-and-white color palette. Flanking the mantel are classic blue-and-white ginger jars, and tucked in between you’ll find a stack of antique books, a glass seashell, and a candle. It’s simple, collected, and so very spring.

The top of the armoire carries the blue-and-white color scheme right up to the ceiling, with a beautiful set of lacquered stacked boxes that bring in rich pops of blue. They add height and polish to the room in the best way.

Kitchen & Dining Area

My kitchen is where the spring magic really started to come together! I kept things light and charming, with a few intentional touches that make my heart so happy every time I walk in.

Two white ceramic rabbits with sweet ribbons tied around their necks sit on the counter, and I just adore them. On the pantry door hangs a wreath I made myself. It features real-touch hydrangeas and blueberries, and pretty blue-and-white toile-wired ribbon. It looks like a wreath you find in a boutique shop without the big price tag.

A gorgeous blue-and-white apron hangs from the corner of a cabinet, adding the most charming pop of pattern. And near the coffee station, I hung a basket on the wall and filled it with faux hydrangeas. It is a cozy, farmhouse little moment that fits perfectly in this space.

The dining table is where things really shine in a casual way. At the center sits a wooden-and-glass terrarium filled with moss, a sweet birdhouse, a wooden cross with “HE IS RISEN”, a bird nest with a faux egg, and a couple of house plants. It’s one of my favorite things in the whole house right now. On either side, clay pots with a few purple tulips starting to bloom, vintage white ironstone with purple hyacinths, and brass lanterns with white taper candles beautifully round out the tablescape.

The table is dressed simply with my white Pottery Barn dishes that I have had for many years, blue-and-white salad plates in mix-and-match patterns, wooden chargers, my favorite crystal beverage glasses, and pretty napkins. Nothing fancy at all (except for the crystal), just fresh, classic, and spring-ready. I always say a beautiful table doesn’t have to be complicated. A little intention goes a long way.

A few finishing touches are homemade Sweet & Salty Easter Bark. Each bag contains a sweet treat to welcome Easter guests.

The Mudroom

Last but not least, our mudroom! This little space works so hard every single day, and I love giving it a seasonal refresh to keep it feeling cheerful. The changes here were small but meaningful.

I swapped in some fresh spring pillows on the built-in bench, and rehung a wreath I have loved for years. Somehow, it is like greeting an old friend every time I bring it back out. But my absolute favorite touch? A market basket filled with dried hydrangeas from my own garden, hanging from a hook on the built-in bench. There is something so deeply satisfying about using something you grew yourself as a decoration. Those hydrangeas hold so many summer memories, and now they bring a little of that warmth into spring, too.

Bringing It All Together
