Create A Beautiful DIY Faux Orchid Centerpiece
A floral centerpiece is a perfect way to add color to a space. Try and create a beautiful DIY faux Orchid Centerpiece.
Faux flowers have come a long way over the years. I love using florals that are real-touch. You have to touch them to tell is it faux or real?
You will see a combination of real and faux plants throughout my home. I watered one of my faux succulents by accident. Can you believe? I thought my husband would never stop laughing.
What I love about Orchids are their beauty and timelessness. An Orchid adds a touch of elegance to any space.

This floral arrangement was easy to make in minutes. Can you believe it was less than 10 minutes?

DIY Faux Orchid Arrangement Tutorial

With a ruler measure the center of the floral brick. Score straight down with a pair of scissors. Next you should be able to snap the floral brick in half.
My floral brick halves are a little uneven. If this happens, no worries. It will not matter as the Spanish Moss will cover it.
Push the Styrofoam bricks into the 6″ planter. It will be tight and you will not need to glue. If you are using a larger vessel, you may need to add some glue to the bottom of the Styrofoam.

You will need to decide how tall you want your Orchid to stand in the planter. With wire cutters cut the Orchid stem to the desire length.
Dip the stem of the Orchid into the Quick Drying Tacky Glue. Place it into the floral Styrofoam brick and push down. The glue will help to secure the stem in place.

The arrangement is coming together. Now it for the finishing touch.

Any extra glue from the previous step can be spread with a artist paint brush or foam brush. Generously apply the Quick Drying Tacky Glue over the Styrofoam brick.
In the cracks, you can wad up newspaper or brown paper bag to fill in any gaps. Apply glue over the paper too.
Adding the finishing touch

I love this Moss Collection. The Spanish Moss comes with two color choices in the bag. Either color would work well. I am using the green color moss.
You can find it at Hobby Lobby. I did link green Spanish Moss in this post for you.

You will tuck the moss on top of the glue. It clumps together and works wonderful.
You could substitute the moss for river rocks. The Quick Drying Tacky Glue could be used to secure the rocks.

This DIY faux Orchid centerpiece is the perfect addition to my bathroom. What I love about it, you can use it in any room.
