Today is part II of my Easy DIY Plant Gift idea posts. I am sharing some of my ideas for gifts that you can make for Mother’s Day.

Recently, I came across these wonderful planters that look like metal. They appear to be galvanized with a metal rim. Can you believe these are resin? I had to touch these several times to make sure.
You won’t have to worry about rust stains on the porch.

This planter is well made and deep. It is a 16″ Rustic Resin Faux Galvanized Square Planter. Outer dimensions: 16″ Length x 16″ Width x 16″ Height.
I have two different gift ideas using this particular planter.

The first gift idea is adding a Hibiscus to the planter. I purchase this yellow Hibiscus from Lowes for $19.99.

This planter and Hibiscus would look beautiful on a patio or around a pool. Look at those gorgeous large blooms.

The second idea is adding a variety of plants with lots of textures. Here I have some shade loving plants the tiny pink flowers are Wishbone Flowers (Torenia), the purple flower is called False Shamrock or Purple Shamrock. It is a very pretty plant. The green spirals are called Spiral Grass (Slime Lilies). They are my favorite in this planter garden. The green curly spikes adds texture and interest to the garden container. Who wouldn’t love this as a gift!

Lynne, I know right? I had to touch it a few times. It does not look like resin.
