Our home has undergone a delightful spring awakening this week! I’ve been incorporating a color palette of tranquil blues, beautiful shades pinks, and soft greens, creating a light and airy atmosphere throughout the home. The best way to add pops of colors is through accessories. I drew my inspiration from this set of tea towels.

What I am reading this week?

This book on Self-Love! Self-Love Diet, The Only Diet That Works by Michelle E. Minero. If you struggle with weight loss and a love-hate body image. Michelle has easy-to-follow practical steps on how following the path of self-love can lead to freedom from body hatred and eating difficulties. If you are like me and struggle with issues with food, eating, yo-yo dieting, and a negative body image, this book is for you!

Self-Love Diet Book

I’ve always turned to food for comfort, a classic stress eater. Losing 60 pounds in the last ten months has been a battle, both physical and emotional. The biggest hurdle was retraining my brain to see food as fuel, not an escape. It’s about enjoying food, but in a way that nourishes, not punishes. Books like the ‘Self-Love Diet’ helped me cultivate self-kindness and challenge the harsh inner critic we all know too well. Because let’s face it, nobody judges us harder than ourselves. Part of this healthy journey is more than just losing weight. It is loving myself along the way and healing emotionally too.

My Favorite Finds

Loving these incredibly comfortable women’s cargo sweatpants. And, I snagged a couple of these long-sleeved tee shirts for working around the house and outside.

I found this lovely large scalloped tray for only $12.49!

If you have pets, this handy Stain Striker HairPro Pet, Portable Spot, Stain, Cleaner is a must-have item! It is perfect to use for spills on the carpet or sofa. It is lightweight, portable, and cleans well. There are several different attachments to use and come with cleaning solutions. It cleaned up a major spill on my new sofa with no visible trace of a spill. This cleaner is designed to pick up deeply embedded hair with no clogs, and no clumps. It has incredible suction power and pulls out embedded spots and stains. Clears away stubborn odors from pets.

Well, sweet friend, we may have lost an hour of sleep over the weekend. However, the temperatures will begin to warm up. We can look forward to longer days of sunlight. It will have a positive impact on our moods and energy levels.

Be sure to bring some of that natural light into your home. It’s time to swap heavy winter drapes for sheer curtains or lightweight blinds. This allows sunlight to filter through while maintaining some privacy. Keep window treatments fully open during the day whenever possible. Try pleated blinds that can be easily adjusted to control light levels.

Don’t forget to clean those windows! Something as small as cleaning windows can make a huge impact.

Be sure to share your comments below. I would love to hear from you, sweet friend.
