Natural Heart Wreath: Grapevine, Moss, and Cotton Ribbon

I’ve always been drawn to the raw beauty of hearts, grapevine wreaths, and the natural textures of moss and cotton ribbon. Sometimes, the most satisfying crafts are the ones that allow you to connect with nature.

There’s a certain magic in combining these elements to create something heartfelt. Today, I’m sharing a simple tutorial for crafting a beautiful heart wreath using grapevine, moss, and some free white cotton ribbon (yes, free). It’s a project that’s as enjoyable to make in less than 10 minutes. Join me as we craft a rustic, heartfelt piece that brings a touch of the outdoors in.

For this project, we will be using grapevine, moss, and cotton ribbon to create a beautiful, handcrafted piece. Let’s get started and transform these simple materials into a stunning wreath.

SUPPLIES:

  • 6″ Heart grapevine wreath
  • Green moss
  • 1.5″- 2″ white cotton ribbon of choice
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Scissors

1. Add The Moss

Apply hot glue generously to the front of the grapevine wreath. Immediately press moss into the glue. To avoid burns, use silicone finger thimbles or press the moss with a pencil or popsicle stick.

2. Add The Ribbon

I had this free white cotton ribbon. It is a twill ribbon that you find around towels, bedding, etc. Don’t throw free ribbon away. You can iron it and use it for craft projects, gifts, etc.

Creating this grapevine heart wreath is a wonderful way to bring a touch of the outdoors into your home. As you admire your finished heart wreath, I hope you feel a sense of warmth and connection to the natural elements it embodies.

What I love about this project, it reminds us that beauty can be found in simplicity. There is something about a handmade item that carries a special kind of charm. See these sweet miniature grapevine wreaths with moss and dried flowers for spring home decor.

I encourage you to experiment with different moss textures, ribbon colors, and grapevine shapes to make it uniquely yours. May your wreath bring a touch of rustic elegance to your home for seasons to come.

Don’t forget to share your finished creations! I would love to see how you’ve personalized your natural heart wreath.
