Good morning, sweet friends! Welcome to Saturday Morning Coffee Talk. Hope you have your cup of coffee in hand (tea or favorite beverage).
Here on Saturdays, I talk about random things going on over at White Lilac Farmhouse or little something about myself.

Wishing everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Friendship Day too! Whether you are able to go out for Valentine’s Day or simply staying home, enjoy sweet friends.
This year, we will be staying home with COVID and a snow storm headed our way. Many times, we choose to stay home and relax.
For me, I enjoy creating special moments and memories in my home. Such as decorating the table with pretty dishes and making a favorite meal along with a scrumptious dessert as a surprise.

Homemade decorations helps to make the house cozy for the celebration. I shared a couple of projects in this post 5 Easy Ways to Decorate for Valentine’s Day. Like this simple 3D Heart Paper Garland, it was so easy to make with items around the house.

This photo was taken two years ago. My son, Zach had moved to Minnesota for work as a Weekend Sports Anchor. Tyler (Zach’s Twin) is the last of the four children home. I knew he was missing his brother and wanted to make the day extra special.
I took a heart paper punch and punched out hearts in white, pink and red from cardstock (you can use construction paper too). They were sprinkled on the table. A single rose on the table with several of candles in various sizes. I added a few antique books for some height with one of the candles.
A perfect time to pull out some antique dishes and the pretty crystal beverage glasses. Other than buying a single rose, I owned the rest of the items. Shop your house!
Strawberries dipped in dark chocolate. Hot pink ribbon tied around white serving plates to hold my mini heart-shaped cherry pies. So simply to make with with the following:
- 5″ Heart Cookie Cutter
- Can of Cherry Pie Filling
- Ready Made Pie Crust
- Powder Sugar (optional to sprinkle on top)
With cookie cutter cut out your hearts. You will need two hearts for each pie. Spoon in pie filling in the center of your heart (don’t over fill). Top with another heart. Score the edges with a fork and cut a few cross marks on the top for ventilation.
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them. They should be lightly golden. When they cool, sprinkle with powder sugar.
See a super easy dessert! And, a big hit with the family.
Whatever your plans are tomorrow, I hope you have a fabulous day. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog. Have a blessed weekend friends!
