No matter your budget with a little creativity, you can create a stunning fall mantel display. Let me share with you some of my tips on transforming a mantel to fit your budget.
You can use just about anything on your mantel. Some of my favorite items to use are: – Mirror(s) – Artwork – Books with or without spines – Candles, candleholders, hurricanes, or lanterns with battery timed candles – Cloches – Faux foliage or flowers, greenery, or dried flowers – Vases in various sizes and texture – Corbels – Ironstone Pitchers – Empty frames – Book ends – Clocks, statues, head bust – Faux pumpkins, pinecones, floral picks, etc. – Elements from nature
– Shop your house – Keep a cohesive look by selecting a color palette – Use items with different heights and sizes to create visual interest – Layering items with different textures – Greenery or flowers to bring in color – Add a homemade garland – Forage natural elements from your yard such as pinecones, branches, feathers, dried flowers, acorns, moss, etc.
Look for items such as books, candles, hurricane, candlesticks, mirrors, wreathes, tall vases, ginger jars, lanterns, etc. Anything that can be used to create layers and add height that will be visually appealing.
