Life Among The Blooms Vol. 34

Life Among the Blooms Vol. 34 is a recap of the week and about random things going on over at White Lilac Farmhouse and a tip of the week.

It is a chance to get to know me a little better and see what I have been up to.

WHAT’S HAPPENING AT WHITE LILAC FARMHOUSE

The blog has a new look. I have been updating my website to make it more user friendly with more searching capabilities to find posts. I ask you for patience and grace as things are being updated. The new theme has caused some old posts to mess with typesetting configurations. I am working to correct any setting changes. Thank you in advance for your support!

I hope you like my new updated website for the blog. There is so much technical work that goes on behind the scenes of owning a blog business. We have to deal with constant changes and updates. Then there is the whole Google thing. Recent updates can impact bloggers.

I am learning some new stuff. You are never to old to learn new things!

This week, I have started on Holiday projects. As I wrap up October with a new Thanksgiving project, November will about Christmas. There is so much to share with you as the decorating for the season begins. Home tours are right around the corner.

French Bulldog Cream and Tan Piebald Female 14 months old.

Little Miss Chibi is just shy of 15 months old. She is fully grown weighing only 17 pounds.

She is a tiny little thing with a huge personality. My nice recliner in the photo, well it has an electric controller to make it recline. This chair also has massaging features. I purchased it for the knee replacement surgery.

Well, Miss Chibi decided to chew the cord that operates the chair. Of course, it is the cord to work the recline feature and not the massager. Ugh, never a dull moment! I have reached out to the manufacture of the chair with no luck to get a replacement part. No one answers the phone nor returns messages.

She is cute, but mischief! It’s like having a toddler in the house. I am sure something similar may have happened to you with kids or pets.

TIP OF THE WEEK

It is that time of the year to begin to winterize our homes. For the tip of the week, I put together a Fall Home Maintenance Check List for you.

Nothing worst is batteries in the smoke detector going off in the middle of the night. Why is that? I have never had one go off in the middle of the day. It seems to be at 2 or 3 a.m. having the best sleep of my life.

Items not on the list is to make sure you have plenty of batteries. Check the flashlights in your kitchen or dresser drawers to see if the batteries need to be changed.

Also, I forgot to include on the list the sump pump battery backup. Our sump pump has a battery backup. It will beep if low. It requires to be hooked up to be recharged. Something that we will need to do soon.

Fall Home Maintenance Checklist free printable.

The tip of the week is a Fall Home Maintenance Checklist on a printable paper with leaves in orange, yellow, green and burgundy berries.
