Good morning, sweet friends! Welcome to Sundays Life Among The Blooms! Hope you have your cup of coffee in hand (tea or favorite beverage). Thank you for joining me!
Here on Sundays, I talk about random things going on over at White Lilac Farmhouse and things that stop me in my tracks.
WHAT’S HAPPENING AT WHITE LILAC FARMHOUSE
What a whirl wind of two weeks spent at doctors appointments for medical tests. Some of you may be wondering what in the world is going on. If you are on Instagram or Facebook, you may have heard a comment about me not feeling well and would fill you in later.
In late July, I came down with COVID. I manage to pick it up on a business trip. My husband, Jim caught the virus from me a couple days later.
We were both sick for about a week. Both of us are fully vaccinated and recovered quickly from it. Then a couple weeks later, I began to have some serious issues.
My blood pressure has always been amazing at 122/80. Then all hell broke loose after COVID.
I had dangerous spikes in my blood pressure along with chest pains, shoulder pain, headache and issues with my lower legs. The doctors were worried about clots, strokes and a heart attack.
COVID loves to attack individuals organs!
Before COVID I was fine and now afterwards, I will be spending the next two months going through medical tests.
I have to wear compression socks while working (sitting for long periods), flying or on long car trips.
I have to take blood pressure meds and monitor my blood pressure everyday.
It could be worst and grateful to be under the care of terrific doctors. The new medication seems to be doing it’s job!
Fall decorating continues…
This year you will see that my colors are more inspired by natural elements found in nature. It’s like bringing a little of the outdoors inside.
Nature inspired elements seems to be a trend this year too. Lots of woods and earthy muted tones for the fall.
I could not resist getting this crackled green vase with some fall leaves. The leaves have a touch of shimmer to them.
These pillow covers work perfect on our sofa. What I love about pillow covers, they are so easy to store at the end of the season.
Favorite Finds of The Week
I was in search of a nice garland that could be used for most seasons. One that you could add branches, florals, berries, pumpkins, etc.
I bought this Mixed Eucalyptus Garland. It arrived on Friday and did not disappoint. Currently, this garland is on sale at $39.95 off.
Here is a sneak peak of the garland with some velvet pumpkins and sugared acorns nestled in it. It will be in an upcoming two part post the week of September 12th.
A cozy bench all ready for the fall. Watch the video to see it come together.
