Life Among the Blooms Vol. 30 is a recap of the week and about random things going on over at White Lilac Farmhouse for the fall season.
It is a chance to get to know me a little better and see what I have been up to.

My morning coffee with warm frothy milk and sprinkle of cinnamon. During the fall, my favorite is having a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
What’s happening at white lilac farmhouse
As summer comes to a close, I have been enjoying some pool time with family and friends. It has been in the mid to low 90s all week. The pool water felt amazing and very relaxing.
A lot of time spent behind the scenes working on the blog. It takes quite a bit of time and money to maintain a blog. I have received some feedback about ads popping up and making it hard to see photos and read the blog. I am working with the ad provider to try and find a solution to fix.
In October you will see a relaunch of my blog as a switch over to a new template. My goal is to make the blog more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
buy yourself flowers

Why buy yourself flowers? A bouquet of flowers is a reminder that you value yourself. Enjoy the little things in life and treat yourself. You deserve it sweet friend!
WHAT I AM LOVING FOR The FALL Season

These sweet dried little pumpkins. If you love organic or a neutral look these are for you. And, they are only $6 for the bag of them. Whether you have color for fall or all neutrals, these little pumpkins are perfect for the fall season.

My favorite candle in the scent Cottage. Not only is it in a beautiful vessel that can be used later as a planter or to hold items on your desk. The scent Cottage can be used for any season not just for the fall season. The candle has notes of Cinnamon, Cardamom and Nutmeg. It is not over powering and subtle. This candle makes a wonderful gift too with a rechargeable lighter.

I am loving these fillers for bowls, boxes or hurricane vases. Dried cauliflower root or these white pods are great neutrals for the fall.

Fall & Halloween Inspiration
Here have been so many wonderful fall and Halloween inspirations on the web. I am sharing some of my favorites.

This painting is one of the cutest Halloween decoration. My good friend, Do with Do Dodson Design took a piece of thrift landscape artwork. Added a glaze over top to darken it. Then she painted these three adorable ghost. Is this not darling? I absolutely love this project and her creativeness. You can checkout her full tutorial by clicking on this link Easy Ghost Paintings On Thrifted Art For Halloween.

My friends Anne and AnnMarie with Simply 2 Moms shared this fun craft project. It is a braided yarn pumpkin. You can take some of your old faux pumpkins and recycle them into new décor for fall. Here is a link to their tutorial for the DIY Chunky Braided Yarn Pumpkin: Easy and Cheap Craft Idea.

Look at this easy and beautiful DIY project. My talented friend Jennifer of Cottage In Bunker Hill made felt leaf stems. The felt leaves are perfect to decorate for the fall season. It is a great way to do a DIY budget friendly project. Is it not a wonderful idea? You can see Jennifer’s DIY Felt Leaf Stems tutorial here.

You like a good DIY project from thrifted items? Then check out the post from my sweet friend, Rachel of The Ponds Farmhouse. She did an incredible basket tray Pottery Barn Hack. Click on this link to read more about it. Why spend $100 when you can make it for a lot less and Rachel will show you how.

Anne, they are great texture and perfect to use for the fall season. The cauliflower root reminds me of driftwood but white.
