Exciting things are brewing at White Lilac Farmhouse! We’re giving the blog a much-needed makeover. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we navigate this transition.

My morning coffee with warm frothy milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon. During the fall, my favorite is having a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

What’s Happening At White Lilac Farmhouse

As summer winds down, I’ve been soaking up the last of the warm weather with family and friends at the pool. Temperatures have been in the mid to low 90s all week, making the pool water incredibly refreshing.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been hard at work on the blog. Maintaining a blog is time-consuming and costly. I’ve received feedback about intrusive ads that are obstructing the content. I’m working with the ad provider to resolve this issue.

In October, I’m excited to unveil a revamped blog with a new template. My goal is to create a more user-friendly and visually appealing experience for my readers.

Why buy yourself flowers? A bouquet is a reminder that you value yourself. Enjoy the little things in life and treat yourself. You deserve it, sweet friend!

Favorites For Fall

These sweet dried little pumpkins. If you love organic or a neutral look these are for you. And, they are only $6 for the bag of them. Whether you have color for fall or all neutrals, these little pumpkins are perfect for the fall season.

My favorite candle in the scent Cottage. Not only is it in a beautiful vessel that can be used later as a planter or to hold items on your desk. The scent Cottage can be used for any season not just for the fall season. The candle has notes of Cinnamon, Cardamom, and Nutmeg. It is not overpowering and subtle. This candle makes a wonderful gift too with a rechargeable lighter.

I love these fillers for bowls, boxes, or hurricane vases. Dried cauliflower root or these white pods are great neutrals for the fall.

Fall & Halloween Inspiration

There have been so many wonderful fall and Halloween inspirations on the web. I am sharing some of my favorites.

This painting is one of the cutest Halloween decorations. My good friend, Do with Do Dodson Design took a piece of thrift landscape artwork. Added a glaze over top to darken it. Then she painted these three adorable ghosts. Is this not darling? I love this project and her creativity. My friends Anne and AnnMarie with Simply 2 Moms shared this fun craft project. It is a braided yarn pumpkin. You can take some of your old faux pumpkins and recycle them into new décor for fall. Here is a link to their tutorial for the DIY Chunky Braided Yarn Pumpkin: Easy and Cheap Craft Idea.

Look at this easy and beautiful DIY project. My talented friend Jennifer of Cottage In Bunker Hill made felt leaf stems. The felt leaves are perfect to decorate for the fall season.
