Good morning, sweet friends! Welcome to Sundays Life Among The Blooms! Hope you have your cup of coffee in hand (tea or favorite beverage).
Here on Sundays, I talk about random things going on over at White Lilac Farmhouse and things that stop me in my tracks.
First, my thoughts and prayers are with those in Florida. Our hearts go out to those impacted by the hurricane. It’s a time to help those in need.

WHAT’S HAPPENING AT WHITE LILAC FARMHOUSE
We are preparing for a family wedding this weekend. My nephew Brendan Smith will be wedding the sweetest woman. We love his future wife, Melissa Holliday. Needless to say, we are all very excited for this wedding.

The rehearsal dinner will be at our home. I am honored to host it here.
I made sure that my house is all decorated for the fall. Now, it’s just adding those finishing touches to make Friday special for them.
decorating for fall inside and out

Some of my back patio containers have been changed out with fall plants. Here I am using Creeping Jenny (it will come back next year), small burgundy colored Mums and Ornamental Cabbage plant. A few white Pansies have been nestled in there too.

I love how beautiful these planters look for the fall. When you buy your Mums make sure to get some that have lots of buds on it too. After the Mums bloom, they are finish blooming.
Also, the trick to keep them alive is to keep the roots soaked. If the roots are dried, you will need soak the plant in water. First, I will break up the root some before soaking in the water. I always dip my plants into a mixture of water with some Miracle Grow (liquid). Then I will transplant it into my container. Believe me when I tell you it will help your plants keep longer. Also water daily and soak those roots on the Mums. Water them down at the base of the plant not from the top.

I did the same thing to my concrete planters on the front porch. I had to replace a couple of plants. The previous Mums died while we were away on vacation from lack of water.
This week, I will get some real pumpkins to put on the porch, patio and a few for inside the house. Also, I need to figure out arrangements for the table for the rehearsal dinner. I plan to keep it simple.

BEAUTIFUL INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHERS
Here are some of my favorites for this week from my blogging friends.
First up is my friend Leslie with My 100 Year Old Home. She published a book that is available now.

This book is filled with so many ideas from entertaining to designing spaces that are timeless and puts family first.
You will be blown away by the photos too. Many never seen on her blog or IG. What a lovely gift this would make for someone for the holidays.

I am loving this painted pumpkin artwork. If you think you cannot create this beautiful artwork, you are so wrong. My talented good friend, Do has this step by step tutorial How To Paint Pumpkins On Wood. You can watch her video as she creates this beautiful piece of art. I want to make one for myself. What a wonderful gift to make for family member or friend.

My sweet friend, Marie at This Dear Casa did this Outdoor Fall Decorating: Potting Table Refresh. I just love the sage color on her potting table. She took her drab potting table and made it look amazing.
Weekly favorite finds
I know that Christmas is a few months away. However, holiday decorations will disappear and always sells out fast. I have missed some nice items over the years for waiting.
These Father Christmas Dinner Plates are so beautiful. You can or in a 16-piece serving or set of four. I did not want the entire set. At first, I wanted only the dinner plates. The dessert plates have a different scene on each plate. Are they not pretty?

I wanted them for Christmas morning or to use for the grand littles when coming over during the month of December. Something special for their breakfast at Nana and Pappy’s house.
