WHAT’S HAPPENING AT WHITE LILAC FARMHOUSE

celebrating another big family birthday

Our summer is continuing with another milestone family birthday. My uncle celebrated his 75th birthday (early) with his family.

My cousins Lynn, Dawn and Billy threw the 75th birthday party for their father. He is my mother’s younger brother (see has five siblings).

My Uncle Billy (we call him Uncle Bubba) has been a farmer all of his life. It is hard work. He has such a giving heart. He is always giving fresh produce to his family. My Uncle cares for an elderly couple, making dinner for them three times a week.

He drives his Amish friends around helping them out. Recently, his truck broke down. It was very old! His children went together to buy him a good used vehicle. We were all moved to tears including my uncle.

You see this is my family. The ones that always help each other. A family that when good people are down on their luck will find a way to make miracles happen. A kind, loving, generous family!

My mother, daughter and two my sweet grandchildren. My grandson, Anakin is trying to under “cousins”. He is like “all of these people are my family”. It’s fun trying to explain to him.

This month, my parents celebrates 61 years of marriage on June 16th.

It was a wonderful time getting together to celebrate milestones. Our family is large, I am the oldest grandchild out of 15. We range in age from 59 down to 37. I have lost count of how many great grandchildren and now several great-great grandchildren. We have a close knit family that is so special and dear to me.

Summer Time fun With Friends

We have wonderful neighbors that are more like family then friends. It is always a wonderful time getting together and laughing until you summer hurts. The pool is still a little chilly but looking forward to spending more poolside time with my neighbors.
