14 Easy DIY Fall Centerpiece Ideas
1. REAL PLANTS

This is one of the easiest DIY. Why?
All you need to do is add a seasonal pick. You can leave it on the table and add an inexpensive pumpkin pick. You can find them at your local Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Two picks are used with this plant. A grapevine pumpkin and faux sugar acorns adorn this plant for a touch of fall.
2. DRIED OR CUT FLOWERS

This DIY idea for a fall centerpiece is simple and easy. Dried hydrangea blooms in an antique white ironstone pitcher. Try placing dried flowers in mason jars, vases, ginger jars, and pottery. You can read about How To Dry Hydrangeas here.
3. FRUIT

Seasonal fruit can be a great centerpiece for your home. It adds a natural, organic look and feel to your room. You can easily select fruit that complements your design and color palette in your home.

In the Belgium crate, an antique wire basket holds some cloth napkins with beaded pumpkin napkin rings. Use textures to draw eyes in.

A few burlap leaves add extra texture to the centerpiece. A white ironstone soup tureen is perfect for holding seasonal fruits. A touch of Mother Nature adds a sense of coziness to the home.
4. USE A CLOCHE

A favorite centerpiece is using a large oversized cloche. First place a table runner in a neutral color along the center of the table. Add a mercury glass pumpkin or three timed candles with various heights under the glass dome with some burlap or dried leaves.

An easy side table centerpiece could be a small cloche with a vintage flower frog and photo. It’s a unique way to display a favorite photo while also creating a stylish and festive fall centerpiece.
5. VINTAGE SOUP TUREEN OR BOWL

Try using a vintage soup tureen by placing a plant in the tureen and tucked in a strand of wooden beads along with a pumpkin pick.
A table runner in a lovely sage color check. A couple of tea lights flank each side of the centerpiece and voila a beautiful tablescape.
6. DOUGH BOWL

What I love about a dough bowl is it can be filled with anything. Here rose gold fillers combined with some white pods work great. It can be placed in the center of the table with some tea lights.
I love versatile pieces that can be moved around to the fireplace hearth, kitchen island, or coffee table.

Try filling it with real, faux, or fabric pumpkins, Indian corn, and gourds!
7. LANTERN

I love the idea of using a lantern as a centerpiece, whether it’s open or enclosed. It’s so versatile, and you can use it almost anywhere in your home. I especially like the idea of filling an open lantern with pumpkins, candles, or a vase of flowers. It’s a great way to repurpose the lantern throughout the fall and even into the winter season.
For an enclosed lantern, you can fill it with small pumpkins.
8. CHARCUTERIE BOARD

How about using a charcuterie board for a centerpiece? Here is a centerpiece for my island that can be put in the center of a table too.
I always start with something tall like a vase or piece of pottery. You can use faux plants, flowers, or berry branches. Next, I love to add a candle. Just fill in with decorative items and change out the black ceramic piece and heart for a velvet or real pumpkin. A small white Cinderella pumpkin would look beautiful here.
9. PUMPKIN & CUT FLOWERS

10. STORE BOUGHT FLOWERS, BERRIES & PODS

During the fall, season flowers are in the store and at local markets. A bouquet of these fall flowers ran $6. Berries and pods mixed in with the flowers adds a pop of interest to the arrangement.
11. SEASONAL POTTED FLOWERS & PRODUCES

One thing I love to do for fall is decorate my table with seasonal plants, fruits, and vegetables. It’s a great way to use autumn’s abundance and make an arrangement that’s both festive and natural. Apples, gourds, and cabbages can be carved out to make tea light holders. I also like to add a plaid throw or scarf to the table. Potted mums and candles make great additions, and then I like to scatter apples, gourds, and small pumpkins in the center or to one side of the table.
12. FAUX FOLIAGE

Don’t be afraid to use faux foliage. These days, you can find beautiful faux stems. Add five to six stems to an oversized vase or ginger jar. Flank the vase with beautiful candle holders and mercury glass or faux pumpkins.
13. LARGE GLASS HURRICANE
A large glass hurricane with a flicker candle and fillers (leaves, dried corn, dried beans, rose hips, dried orange slices, dried natural Putka Pods (pumpkin pods). It is another centerpiece that can be moved to various rooms.
14. OTHER IDEAS
- Add fresh pumpkins and gourds in a crate or stack them in the center of the table.
