Life Among the Blooms Vol. 31 is a recap of the week and about random things going on over at White Lilac Farmhouse and my fall favorites.
It is a chance to get to know me a little better and see what I have been up to.
Inside my house and our front porch are ready for fall. If you missed seeing my home tour for 2023, you can see the two posts here:
What’s happening at white lilac farmhouse
This weekend was a dreary and rainy one. The wind was blowing for three days. In fact, the rain was coming down sideways from the wind.
It did make for good sleeping, napping and reading weather. LOL
We celebrated my husband’s birthday on Saturday. I treated him to a massage at my favorite day spa. While he received his massage, I got a 75 minute facial. Wow, it was relaxing and my skin felt amazing.
Ever since going through menopause, I suffer from dry skin. Water is my beverage of choice. I drink lots of it throughout the day. However, my face is still on the dry side. Winter months are the worst. Treating myself to a monthly facial does help during the winter.
Some of my fashion fall favorites
Here are some of my fashion fall favorites. A few of these items are either in my cart or already purchased for fall.
Yesterday, this shacket was delivered. I love a good shacket for the fall.
When the temperatures begin to cool, I enjoy layering my clothes. Sometimes a coat is too much. I love wearing a shacket with my Kut From Kloth jeans. I find Kut From Kloth jeans fit well and are flattering. This shacket will look great with my camel color booties and jeans.
This two layered gold initial necklace is only $14. I love some fun jewelry to wear out and about running errands. This necklace is trendy and pretty without a big price tag.

Oh my goodness, this is one of my favorite wreaths with dried flowers. My close friend Jennifer of Cottage In Bunker Hill made this gorgeous wreath with flowers dried from her garden. Is it not specular? It is better than any wreath you can find in a store. She has inspired me to make a new dried wreath for my home. You can see Jennifer’s step by step tutorial DIY Garden Wreath here.
Another beautiful wreath was made by my multi-talented friend, Wendy of WM Design House. What I love about this wreath, Wendy forged all of the items to make this wreath. Yes, you heard me correctly. She takes you along as she discovers items while forging outdoors. Wendy has a wonderful post including her tutorial on How to Make a Foraged Fall Wreath with Natural Materials.
